LYC downs SFY in pool action July 7

Friendly rivalry goes down in Lewes
July 8, 2025

The dark skies and rain didn’t affect the strokes of the swimmers from Lewes Yacht Club and Sussex Family YMCA July 7, as they took their friendly rivalry to the LYC pool for a summer swim league matchup. When the water settled, LYC garnered an eight-point, 375-367 victory.

“We coaches are so proud of our swimmers for showing up and showing off tonight,” said LYC coach Camrynn McTeer. “We had some amazing swims, and this will be a meet we will never forget. Every race was important in the long run. This meet was an all-around great time, and it was great to see swimmers from both teams reunited, swimming together again, and, most of all, having fun.”
