Macintire to exhibit at Lavender Fields

Local artist Susan Macintire recently announced an exhibit at Lavender Fields in Milton, which will run from Oct. 16 to 26. While the collection on display will feature traditional subjects such as Delaware landscapes and wildlife, the stars of the show will certainly be the works inspired by her recent trip to Italy. 

Macintire enjoyed 10 days in Italy this summer, painting stunning views. Her pastel paintings showcase the historic beauty of Venice, lush greenery of the Mediterranean coast and the awe-inspiring water vistas of the area. It was, as the artist describes, a fairytale. 

The collection includes original oils and pastels along with giclee prints. There will be many original Italy-inspired works and many more pieces depicting local scenery, fauna and still lives. Lavender Fields is located at 18864 Cool Spring Rd, Milton, and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
