Margaret Diane Foor, Delaware DPH retiree

Margaret “Diane” Foor, 74, of Milton, formerly of Kent Island, Md., gained her angel wings Thursday, April 15, 2021, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Delaware Hospice, Milford.

Diane was born March 18, 1947, to the late Charles “Buck” Snyder and Elaine Jane Murphy Snyder. Diane was a graduate of Stevensville High School, class of 1965. She graduated from Anne Arundel Community College and Wilmington University. Diane worked for the Delaware Department of Public Health for 15 years, and retired as Child Development Watch Clinic manager in Milford.

Diane married Dr. James Foor, and for 38 years they devoted their lives to each other and their professions. She is also survived by her two daughters, Marsha Clough (Jamie), and Teresa Bush (Darin); four grandchildren, Eric Clough, Ashley Clough, Brandon Rhodes and Morgan Rhodes; five great-grandchildren, Nathan Brown, Kyleigh Brown, Hunter Clough, Cameron Clough and Quinlyn Long.

Besides the love of her family, Diane enjoyed the beach, traveling the Caribbean, quilting, sewing, gardening and volunteering to help others. Her love of animals was unconditional. She and her husband were active members of The Episcopal Parish of All Saints’ Church & St. George’s Chapel.

Diane and her family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. David Smith and staff at Bay Hematology Oncology in Easton, Md., for their compassionate and empathic care to their patients. The family would also like to extend their sincere thanks to the Milford Hospice staff for the compassionate care they provided to Diane and her family during her stay.

Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
