Mariah Calagione named Rehoboth Beach Citizen of the Year

The Rehoboth Beach Main Street team is proud to introduce its 2025 Citizen of the Year, Mariah Calagione.
All are invited to come and celebrate Calagione at this year's 31st Annual Community Unity Dinner, set for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec.7, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
Calagione is co-founder of Dogfish Head Brewery, and she launched the Dogfish Beer and Benevolence Program. Currently, she is director of two family foundations, the Red Wagon Foundation and the Draper Holdings Charitable Foundation.
Also at the dinner, Jerry Filbin will be receiving the Champion of the Year Award for 2025, recognizing his volunteerism, effort, dedication and commitment to supporting the downtown business community through Rehoboth Beach Main Street.
Tickets can be purchased at the Rehoboth Beach Main Street office or at the door for an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner followed by dessert. Guests can mingle and meet city residents and business owners for an evening dedicated to fun and camaraderie. Attendees can pay an additional fee for beer and wine.
Entertainment includes a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with musical entertainment by the Cape Jazz Band, the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, Epworth children’s choir and Kara Bourdreau from Main Street.
