Mariner Middle band students enjoyed a performance by oboist Tom Gallant and the Tesla Quartet Jan. 17 as part of a Coastal Concerts outreach program.
The quintet played classical selections from the 1700s through the 1900s by Mozart, Beethoven, Luigi Boccherini and Bela Bartok, teaching students about each composer’s style and changes in music through the centuries.
