Mariner hockey shuts out Millsboro 10-0

Vikings have outscored opponents 20-1
September 30, 2017

Mariner seventh-grader McKenna Boyle scored four goals, and Rylee Lynch added three more to pace the Milton Vikings to a 10-0 win over Millsboro at home Sept. 27. Reagan Ciabattoni, Lori Sapp and Kelly Bragg each added one score in the second win in a row for Mariner. They defeated Georgetown 10-1 Sept. 25 to open the season.

“We have an incredibly talented team,” said new head coach Lyn Shoop. “They are very coachable and took the skills we worked on today and they put them to work in the game. Obviously, our attack is strong, as you can tell by the score, but our defense is equally as strong. I’m looking forward to showing that to our upcoming opponents.”

Ciabattoni assisted on three goals in the game, while Sapp and Lynch added one each.

The Mariner Lady Vikings will travel to Delmar Middle School Monday, Oct. 2, to play the Wildcats.
