April 9, 2019

Mary L. Kleiser Fitzgerald, 91, of Carlisle, Pa., passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019. Mary was born Dec. 9, 1927, and was one of 11 children born to Ervin and Velva Smith. Mary was the widow of Robert U. Fitzgerald, who died Dec. 20, 2001; and Theodore E. Kleiser Jr., who died Nov. 22, 1981.

Then during the 1970s and ‘80s they were resident managers at the 21 Ocean Drive Condominiums, and later the Henlopen Condominiums. Ted died in 1981, and for several years, Mary managed the Henlopen Condominiums by herself.

Mary was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Carlisle, having attended Epworth United Methodist Church while she and Ted lived in Rehoboth Beach.

Mary is survived by one son, Theodore E. Kleiser III (and wife Kathy) of Huber Heights, Ohio, and one daughter, Brenda Kleiser Brehm (and husband Steve) of Carlisle. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 13, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Road, Carlisle, Pa., 17015.
