Jeff Smith of Rehoboth Beach recently completed a section hike in the Appalachian Trail. He hiked with Bob Miller, an old high school friend from over 55 years ago who recently lost his wife to cancer. The hike was in honor of Bob’s wife and helped heal the sorrow from his loss. “Although weight is an issue when backpack hiking, we still found room to take the Cape Gazette to the top of the Dragon’s Tooth Trail in Virginia,” said Jeff. This is one of the 3 mountain peaks in what is considered the Triple Crown of Appalachian Trail hikes.
