Mental Health Alternatives to host goal-setting workshop March 1

February 21, 2023

Mental Health Alternatives Inc. invites preteens, teens and young adults to its workshop on goal setting using the law of attraction from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, at HealTree, 1632 Savannah Road, Lewes.

MHA co-founders Elizabeth Sanchez, Amy Casas and Diane Winiarczyk will lead participants in learning techniques to set and implement goals, how to overcome fears that may hold them back, and how to use crystal grids to live with intention. Light refreshments will be provided. Event cost is $10 per person and space is limited.

In early February, MHA hosted a positive self-talk and kindness workshop for local teens. Attendees were led through discussions to help them understand how the power of positive thinking, positive self-talk and being kind to oneself can improve happiness levels and overall attitude. Participants created their own happiness jars with their own words, phrases and quotes. Everyone felt happier after connecting, sharing and creating.

MHA is a local nonprofit supporting teens by sharing experiences and tools to help them manage everyday stress, anxiety and upset.

MHA encourages local teens to attend monthly events and apply for scholarships for a direct experience with local health and wellness practitioners. To register or learn more about the scholarship program, go to mentalhealthalternatives.org/events.
