Mental Health Alternatives sets Vibe Up to Thrive Up Oct. 20

Mental Health Alternatives Inc. is a local nonprofit supporting teens by sharing experiences and tools by which to help them manage stress and anxiety.

MHA co-founders Elizabeth Sanchez, Amy Casas and Diane Winiarczyk invite parents, guardians, families and children of all ages to their Vibe Up to Thrive Up event set for 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Lewes Public Library.

Attendees will explore and experience quieting the mind with mindfulness, retraining the brain with positive self-talk, healing the body with nutrition, releasing stress with movement and more.

MHA has a growing community of practitioners. Among those who will be at the Oct. 20 event are Hiba Stancofski, mindfulness and yoga instructor; George Dobbins, Own Your Day Coaching; Julie Fisher, Gifted Alchemy; Athena Allread, Seaside Shaman; Patti Scallon, Synergistic Health; Liz Guida, Delaware Hyperbarics; and Alicia Bercury, MELT Method. 

The event is free, but registration is required at mentalhealthalternatives.org/events.
