Michael Bell is new president of Harvard Business Services

December 17, 2018

Lewes-based Harvard Business Services Inc., Delaware’s premier business formation specialist and Delaware Registered Agent, has announced the appointment of Michael J. Bell as its new president starting Jan. 1, 2019.

“This is a momentous announcement for me as I get to hand my company off to my son,” said Rick Bell, the company’s founder and chairman, about the new president. He added, “He is the right person to lead the company well into the future, having served in all departments of the company over the past 10 years.”

Harvard Business Services Inc. was started in 1981 by Rick and his wife Paulise out of their home in Wilmington. They formally moved the company to Lewes in 1990, and have been a contributor to the community ever since. Harvard is the third-largest incorporator in the state of Delaware, and formed more than 20,000 new companies in 2018. Harvard’s 80,000 current clients bring tens of millions of dollars in franchise taxes each year to the state of Delaware. Harvard currently employs more than 30 employees and the company continues to grow. Twelve of them have been with the company more than 10 years.

“It’s an honor to follow in my father’s footsteps to continue growing this business. We love helping out-of-state attorneys and entrepreneurs form LLCs and corporations in Delaware,” said Michael Bell.
