Michael V. Macklin, Acme retiree

Michael V. Macklin passed away peacefully Monday, May 18, 2020. Mike was a 1975 graduate of Sussex Central High School and worked hard for Pepperidge Farm for many years. He also was retired from Acme. 

Mike enjoyed many things, from gardening, salt water fishing, being outdoors, playing cards with friends, playing volleyball at the old Crab Barn, and being at the beach. 

Mike loved his family. He is survived by his parents, Virden and Madelyn Macklin of Georgetown; his brother Greg Macklin (Cathy) of Georgetown; and his sister Patti Seabolt (John) of Georgetown. Mike is also survived by his two sons, Adam (Kate) of Smyrna, and Jake (Emily) of Seaford. Mike’s seven grandchildren are Brennan, Mason, Luke, Shayla, Sarah, Elizabeth and Sonny. 

A memorial service will be scheduled at Short Funeral Services in Georgetown at a later date when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
