Michelle Phillips named KSI Employee of the Quarter

June 1, 2018

Michelle Phillips of Milford recently received the Employee of the First Quarter 2018 Award from KSI.

She is recognized in part for her positive outlook and determination. Participating in KSI's pre-vocational program has helped Phillips gain skills she needs to be more independent and successfully employed. As a member of the KSI Custodial Crew, she works two to three days a week at the CHEER Center in Ocean View where she is able to apply those skills. Phillips likes to volunteer when opportunities are available, and she is very active in her church. She enjoys life and is a strong advocate for herself. She is excited to begin another chapter in life as she works with KSI's Supported Employment team to gain more independence.

As Employee of the Quarter, Phillips's name has been added to a permanent plaque at KSI, and she received a $50 Visa Gift Card from Dover Federal Credit Union. She also received a gift certificate donated by G&R Campground in Houston entitling her to spend a weekend in one of its cottages, and a one-year aquatics membership from the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club.

KSI is a nonprofit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, community integration, transportation, and day habilitation services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties. For more information, go to www.ksiinc.org.
