Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Camp strikes at state park

Event has been summer tradition for 46 years
July 27, 2023

The Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Camp made its 46th annual stop at Cape Henlopen State Park July 16-20 and July 23-27, when nearly 300 campers learned the finer points of the game. The camp provides a safe and fun atmosphere for participants to develop skills, knowledge and love of the game of field hockey.

Future stars learned skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, offense and goaltending, to name a few.

“This season, MAFH had approximately 260 campers participate in our 46th season,” said Camp Director Frannie Slabonik. “Our staff is always excited to be part of the tradition of sharing the love of the game. It is amazing that we can share the same opportunity so many of us had when we were teenagers with a new generation of young hockey enthusiasts!”
