Mildred V. Timmons Bailey, loved farming

Mildred V. Timmons Bailey, 95, of Dagsboro passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018. 

Mildred was born in Millsboro July 29, 1923, to the late John and Delema Conaway.   In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Ralph A. Timmons Sr.; second husband of five years, William G. Bailey; and a stepdaughter, Ruth L. Bennett.

The love of farming began as a young girl helping her parents on their own farm and after marriage, founded their own poultry and grain farm.  Mildred was a founding member of the Dagsboro Church of God and loved attending church, volunteering whenever she was able to help out, and loved her church family.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Ralph A. Timmons Jr. (Judith) and John Timmons (Regina); and a stepdaughter Louise Holcomb (Harley).  She also leaves to cherish her memory four grandchildren, Trey Timmons, Todd Timmons, Terry Menoche and Jonathan Timmons, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Brodie, Blake and Taylor Timmons, Garrett and Tyler Menoche.

A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Dagsboro Church of God, 32224 DuPont Blvd., Dagsboro, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. for viewing and visitation.  Burial will follow at the Dagsboro Redmen’s Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Lighthouse Christian School, 32224 DuPont Blvd., Dagsboro, DE  19939.
