The boys’ game at Milford Central Academy Feb. 3 was an after-school showcase of emerging talent.
Unbeaten Milford hosted once-beaten Postlethwait, and each team had plenty of opportunities to win in regulation. The Bucs were led by a 39-point effort from Kashmier Wise and won the game 65-59.
Milford outscored the Riders 13-7 in the three-minute overtime.
“I thought a few times they may get us,” said Milford coach Tony Hazzard. “They are definitely the best team we have played.”
Both Milford and Postlethwait will play in the Capital Classic postseason tournament.
