Milford Museum to spotlight Black women in WWII Feb. 10

The Milford Museum will continue its American History Series with a program to celebrate Black History Month, titled Black Women in WWII: Greatness Under Fire, at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Milford Public Library, 11 SE Front St., Milford.

Presenter Dante Brizill is the author of “Black Women in WWII: Greatness Under Fire,” his third book in the “Greatness Under Fire” series that highlights African American heroes of World War II. This presentation will introduce some of the often-overlooked key figures and events in this chapter of history.

Currently teaching at Polytech High School, Brizill has been a social studies educator in Maryland and Delaware for the past 19 years. A Philadelphia native, he has a bachelor’s degree in history from Hampton University and a master’s in education from Wesley College
