Milton 8-10 all-stars headed to Rhode Island

July 27, 2025
In one of the most exciting and intense games of the Little League postseason, the Milton 8-10 all-stars defeated a strong MOT squad 8-7 July 25 to take the 2025 State Championship banner. They now head to Cranston Rhode Island to battle for the east regional title Aug.1-9.

MOT put a run on the scoreboard in the first inning and held on until the third inning when Milton notched three when Wyatt Dean singled scoring two RBI and and Jaxon Kulp pounded a double scoring a RBI.

MOT didn't wait long garnering five runs in the bottom of the third to go ahead 6-3, but the never give up Milton squad clawed back putting five up in the top of the fifth.
Milton's Henry Hill went four innings on the bump striking out seven MOT batters, allowing seven runs (six earned) and walking four to earn the win.

"I felt good pitching tonight," said starting pitcher Henry Hill. "My defense did great behind me in the infield and outfield. We were a little off at the plate in the first inning, but then our bats came alive."

Bryce DeLacy came in from the bull pen in the bottom of the fifth and held the MOT team to just one run on four hits and a K to close out the save and give the District 3 champs a State Title.

"I'm feeling really good right now," said reliever Bryce DeLacy. "I'm proud of what my team has done and proud of what my coaches have involved with us. In the last inning I had some nerves and excitement. I just had to bear down and throw strikes."

Milton outhit the District 1 Champs 14-11.

Jaxon Kulp went 3-for-3 with a double and a RBI to lead Milton. Wyatt Dean went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two RBI. Bryce DeLacy and Michael Sockriter each went 2-for-3 with a RBI. Brock Davis garnered two hits. Henry Hill, Krew Johnson and Hudson Libby each collected a hit.

Christian Lochlyn led the MOT squad at the plate with a double and three RBI. Noah McFarland, Aycen Diaz and Ethan Ertle each had two hits.

Both teams were excellent in the field not committing a single error between them.

"These kids worked hard all season," said Milton manager Bob DeLacy. "They've battled. We preached one pitch at a time. They lived it tonight. They locked in one pitch at a time and put it together. MOT is a good team, a real good team. We played better tonight and we've got a pretty good team, too. We felt we were 0-0 going into this game and now we're 1-0 and State Champs."

Milton starts their Eastern Regional run with New York Saturday, August 2 at noon. The play New Jersey Monday, August 4 at 7:30 pm. and Washington D.C. Tuesday, August 5 at 2 pm.
