Milton Arts Guild to offer mandala class online Dec. 4

Milton Arts Guild is accepting registrations for a new Zoom class, Mandalas – Mendhi Style: The Magic is Back, to be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4.

Mandalas, the Sanskrit word for sacred circles, are used cross-culturally as Zen art forms. Mendhi patterns are used in traditional Indian mandala and henna designs.

In this class, students will learn more than 10 Mendhi patterns, with more than five pattern combinations. A provided template will act as the canvas for step-by-step instruction.

Students will need markers or colored pencils and a bow compass, ruler, protractor and 9-by-12-inch black or white paper. Artist-quality paper is preferred, but not necessary.
