Milton Arts Guild to offer Mokume Gane polymer clay class Aug. 28

August 25, 2021

Milton Arts Guild will offer a unique class on Mokume Gane (also known as hidden magic) in polymer clay with California-based artist Kathy Hepburn from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 28. This class will be held both in person at MAG’s Walnut Street Studio, and virtually via Zoom.

Mokume Gane in polymer clay allows students in this class to create multicolored jewelry pieces through techniques that create a patterned veneer without using any paint.

Hepburn has been working with polymer clay for more than 12 years, and is a member of and the program coordinator for the San Diego Polymer Clay Guild. She has won several awards for her polymer clay work in Southern California. To see more of Hepburn’s work, go to kathyhepburndesigns.weebly.com.

To register and obtain a complete list of supplies, go to miltonartsguild.org. The class costs $40. Milton Arts Guild will have a limited amount of additional supplies for those who take the class in person.
