Milton Elementary students celebrated writing their own creative stories during a recent publishing party.
Third graders followed the steps of the writing process to write their own narrative stories based on the Magic Tree House series. After reading My Teacher is an Alien by Bruce Coville, fifth graders wrote their own alien-themed stories.
To share their final projects, both grades joined together to host a publishing party. Students focused on writing descriptive stories with figurative language and dialogue and published their final pieces using Google Slides.
“This collaboration left the students feeling proud of their achievements and ready to continue writing new pieces!” said Milton Elementary Principal Clara Conn.
