Milton Garden Club selling dessert raffle tickets
Milton Garden Club member Carol Lacey presents the August dessert-of-the-month (a key-lime pie) to the 2015-16 raffle winner, Walt Goering. The dessert-of-the-month raffle is a fundraiser for the Milton Garden Club to help them raise money for their on-going goal of "making Milton beautiful with flowers." Tickets for the 2016-17 raffle are now being sold. The cost is $1 per ticket or six for $5. Tickets are available from any Milton Garden Club member and will also be available in front of King's Ice Cream on Union Street in Milton from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at the last Milton Concert in the Park Wednesday, Aug. 31, and during Hollyfest at the Milton Fire Hall Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The winning ticket will be drawn at the end of Hollyfest. Each month the raffle winner is presented with a home-made dessert. The dessert for the month of December is 12 dozen cookies (one dozen of 12 different kinds of cookies).
