Milton Lions Club presents awards and scholarships

Milton Lions Club held its final dinner meeting for the program year June 13. 

Milton Lions Foundation Scholarships were awarded to Cape graduates Mia Nuebling, Elle Anderson, Samantha Connors, Marina Santini, Jack Wiggins and Avery Silicato.

The inaugural Gerry and Sandy Reynolds Memorial Scholarship for a high school senior planning to major in education was awarded to Elle Anderson. Gerry and Sandy's daughter and son-in-law, Greg and Nicole Irish, were in attendance to make the presentation.

Milton Lions Club awards were given out and officers for next year were installed by PDG Kenny Vincent.

New member James Albanese was inducted into the club. His sponsor is PDG Jim Coverdale.

Maurice McGrath was named Lion of the Year. The Melvin Jones Fellow Award went to Robert Crowell.

Additional honors went to Wendy Coverdale and Marshall Reynolds, Bronze Ted Reiver Fellows; Mike Connors, Gold James McCarty Fellow; Randy Brown, Silver James McCarty Fellow; Mick Olenderski, Silver Ralph Helm Fellow; and Sandy Baker, Lions Vision Research Foundation pin.
