Milton man charged with murder in fatal Cool Spring shooting
A Milton man faces a murder charge in connection with a homicide near Cool Spring.
Police were called about 5:30 p.m. April 11 to the 20000 block of Forest Road near Milton for a report of a shooting, and found a 47-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said Myron Savage, 62, walked up to the victim in the front yard of a residence and shot him several times before fleeing on a black three-wheeled scooter. Police said Jerry Lee Hall, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit issued a warrant for Savage’s arrest, and he was arrested in Harrington without incident April 12. Savage was charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $1,060,000 cash bond.
