Milton Theatre to screen ‘Rocky Horror’ with live shadow cast Feb. 1

The interactive “Rocky Horror Picture Show” will be back at the Milton Theatre at 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1.

The film is considered a cultural phenomenon, attracting dedicated fans of all ages. The story centers on a young couple whose car breaks down in the rain near a castle occupied by strange people in elaborate costumes celebrating an annual convention. The couple discover the head of the house is Frank N. Furter, a mad scientist who actually is an alien transvestite in the midst of performing maniacal experiments.

Featuring members of Formal Dress Optional from Newark, a live shadow cast will act together with the movie’s screening. Virgin kits of Rocky Horror props will be available for purchase at the event.
