Milton turns the town teal for ovarian cancer awareness

August 21, 2025

Teal ribbons were hung all over Milton Aug. 13 as part of Turn The Town Teal, a nationwide initiative to bring awareness to loved ones lost, those who have survived and those who still suffer from ovarian cancer.

Ribbons were put up by volunteers from the Women’s Club of Milton and local officials in collaboration with the Delaware Ovarian Cancer Foundation, which promotes the event. The ribbons will be up through the month of September.

Placing ribbons at the Charlie Fleetwood Pavilion in Milton Memorial Park are (l-r) Charlene Merk, Sen. Russ Huxtable, D-Lewes, Peg Lederman and Debby Pecoraro.
