Milton turns the town teal for ovarian cancer campaign

August 17, 2021

Delaware Ovarian Cancer Foundation has painted Milton teal, with teal ribbons lining light poles in town to raise awareness for ovarian cancer.

The teal ribbons were put up early this year – normally they are placed at the beginning of September and remain through the month.

The foundation has been displaying teal ribbons in Milton for eight years, and through its efforts, raises $50,000 a year for research.

The team putting up the ribbons is (l-r) Diane Bitterle, Nancy Richardson, Linda King, Sandy Crisimangna, Carol Anne Stone, Maida Gravers, Ellen DeRosa, Sen. Ernie Lopez, R-Lewes, and Debra Pecoraro.
