An annual September tradition in Milton is to see teal ribbons all over light poles throughout town.
Those ribbons are for a good cause, part of Turn The Towns Teal, an initiative put on by the Delaware Ovarian Cancer Foundation to create awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms. Ovarian cancer has vague symptoms and there is no test for the disease, so awareness is crucial in fighting it. Also taking part in the event are members of the Milton Women’s Club.
