Mispillion Art League judged show continues thru April 18

Highlighting spectacular works from dozens of local artists, Mispillion Art League’s 23rd Annual Judged Show is open to the public through Saturday, April 18, at 5 N. Walnut St., Milford.

Taking home the Best in Show ribbon is Isabel Pizzolato with her watercolor painting, “Still Water.”

Through a variety of art education programs,, Pizzolato said she found watercolor to be her favorite medium. “I enjoy the many applications and techniques that watercolor allows and the unpredicted results it can bring,” said Pizzolato. A signature member of the Delaware Watercolor Society, Pizzolato also teaches beginner and intermediate classes at Mispillion Art League.

Awards were also given and categorized by medium. The show was judged by  Dr. Hazel L. Bradshaw-Beaumont, a full professor at Delaware State University. She is s a practicing textile designer, crisis counselor and art therapist dedicated to supporting underserved communities through the transformative power of the arts.
