Miss Delaware 2012 Alyssa Murray, 20, of Selbyville, was the guest instructor for Delaware Technical Community College’s Introduction to Ballet kids' camp July 20 at the Owens Campus in Georgetown. Murray, who is a trained ballerina, filled in for regular instructor Allison Anderson of Frankford, who taught Murray ballet when she was younger.

“They’ve been fun,” Murray said about the class. “They’ve kept me on my toes. I love teaching kids to dance. Having the right dance teacher when you’re young helps you stay with it as you get older.” Murray said she is already practicing her jazz dance routine that she will perform when she represents Delaware at the Miss America pageant in January.
