More on reserved Bandstand seating

August 1, 2023

My outlook on putting a towel on a bench beforehand is entirely different than the Milton resident who wrote a letter to the editor about the need to stop reserving seats for our wonderful concerts.

We have been attending these excellent concerts for 36 years and always arrive early, with advance restaurant reservations made several days beforehand, to be certain we will have guaranteed dining seating. Our towels are placed on the provided benches because we will be patronizing the restaurants who have contributed funding to provide our concert entertainment!

The same is true when we visit Lewes, Milton, Bethany or other nearby areas for their concerts. When benches are not provided, we bring our chairs, place them where we choose to sit, and patronize the restaurants where we again have made reservations to support their area merchants.

For people who have chosen to arrive closer to the start of these concerts, perhaps they can bring their own chairs to enjoy our wonderful concerts.

Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion!
