Much of county council meeting canceled by storm moved to March 4 meeting
February 26, 2026
Nearly all items on the agenda of the Feb. 24 Sussex County Council meeting, canceled after a storm buried the county under nearly 20 inches of snow Feb. 22-23, have been moved to the Tuesday, March 3 meeting.
That includes a zone change for The Moorings at Lewes, a property management agreement with Sussex County Land Trust for the 165-acre county-owned Pepper Fork Preserve in Dagsboro and a request to relocate Paramedic Station 114.
Public hearings scheduled for the Feb. 24 meeting will be rescheduled to a future meeting because of public notification required in advance.
