Nancy Patrick Horvat, avid gardener

Nancy Patrick Horvat, 84, of Lewes, formerly of Glen Burnie, Md., passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. She was born Dec. 23, 1936, in Seat Pleasant, Md., daughter of the late Paul Elbert and Myrl (Nutter) Patrick.

Mrs. Horvat worked in accounts receivable at Wonder Bread in Washington, D.C. and Coca-Cola in Columbia, Md. She was a member of the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering and being a member of the ladies’ auxiliary. Mrs. Horvat loved bowling in leagues, yard sales and was an avid gardener. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horvat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Richard Horvat; her son, Robert Thompson; her daughters: Barbara Adkins and Wanda Cangelosi. She is survived by her daughter, Kristy Robinson and her husband Carroll of Conway, S.C.; her stepdaughter, Vicky Mallet; and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Horvat's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
