The Nanticoke Indian Tribe held its annual Heritage Day celebration May 3, at the Nanticoke Indian Museum near Millsboro. This free event featured storytelling, native crafts, traditional food, and traditional music and dancing. Guest speakers included Rep. Jeff Hilovsky, R-Long Neck, and Margaret Hughes, statewide coordinator for Delaware 250, the celebration of 250 years of U.S. independence.

John Reyolds and Courtney Streett are co-founders of Native Roots Farm Foundation. Streett is also president/executive director of the organization as well as a member of the Nanticoke tribe.
