Nanticoke watershed pollinator party bus tour set June 14

May 28, 2025

The Nanticoke Watershed Alliance announced its pollinator party bus tour is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 14, departing from Trap Pond in Laurel. Check-in begins at 9 a.m.

Participants will explore four stunning residential pollinator projects designed, planted and maintained by homeowners in collaboration with the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance.

The event highlights the beauty of native plants and their vital role in supporting pollinators like bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.

Each stop will provide opportunities for attendees to engage with homeowners, ask questions, snap photos and learn about practical, sustainable ways to enhance pollinator habitats at home.

Tickets include round-trip transportation via a comfortable coach bus, a tour of four distinctive residential pollinator projects (two in town and two rural); an optional pre-tour of the Trap Pond pollinator garden from 9:15-9:45 a.m.; lunch; restroom facilities on board; and Trap Pond State Park entry and parking pass for the day.

Sales close once tickets are sold out or by Friday, June 6. To learn more, go to nanticokeriver.org/partybus.
