New beds given to youngsters served by Children’s Beach House

October 11, 2025

Children’s Beach House recently hosted 50 local youth and their families for an evening of community and giving. Children and family members enjoyed bounce houses, food trucks and time together at the facility in Lewes.

Thanks to a partnership with Ashley Furniture’s A Hope to Dream initiative, FurnitureLand and First State Community Action Agency, each child received a brand-new bed, complete with sheets, pillows and comforters.

“CBH is built on the belief that every child deserves not just opportunities to grow, but the solid foundation to dream big,” said Richard Garrett, executive director. “This collaboration underscores the power of community partnerships in meeting real needs for local families.”

The Children’s Beach House team extends thanks to these partners for their unwavering commitment to children and families, and to every volunteer and supporter who made the evening possible.

Founded in 1936, Children’s Beach House serves children statewide through early childhood education, after-school programming, residential camps and family wrap-around services, helping children, families and communities build futures of hope and transformation.
