New gallery opens in Celebration Mall
A new gallery in Rehoboth Beach welcomes art lovers to drop in, enjoy local artwork, and meet the artists. Artworx 19971, located in Celebration Mall at 20 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach, is having a grand opening reception Saturday, April 9, 2-5 p.m. The public is welcome.
Owned and operated by eight local artists, Artworx 19971 presents original art at affordable prices. The gallery is located in the heart of Rehoboth Beach's arts district, steps from scores of year-round shops and restaurants and a short half-block from the beach and Boardwalk.
Artworx 19971 artists work in a diverse range of styles. The gallery's display changes all the time, but one thing stays constant: its unusually high level of artistic diversity.
Artworx 19971 is staffed only by the artists themselves. Visitors will meet one of the artists on every visit. They have all belonged to the same art studio for years and know each other's work intimately. They can talk about any of the art, and visitors can watch the artist work on a painting in progress.
