New therapy teams join Literacy Education Assistance Pups

December 16, 2018

Literacy Education Assistance Pups recently welcomed five new therapy teams, who completed their training program at the Greenwood library.

LEAP is a volunteer program that uses trained therapy dogs to improve the literacy skills of children and grow their enthusiasm for reading by providing a unique, non-judgmental learning environment. Teams meet at  Lewes, Rehoboth and Greenwood public libraries; schools; and other settings.

The next training will take place at the Lewes library, Wednesday evenings, Feb. 6, 13 and 20. For more information, contact Diane Miller at 3rydmill@comcast.net.
