Literacy Education Assistance Pups recently welcomed five new therapy teams, who completed their training program at the Greenwood library.
LEAP is a volunteer program that uses trained therapy dogs to improve the literacy skills of children and grow their enthusiasm for reading by providing a unique, non-judgmental learning environment. Teams meet at Lewes, Rehoboth and Greenwood public libraries; schools; and other settings.
The next training will take place at the Lewes library, Wednesday evenings, Feb. 6, 13 and 20. For more information, contact Diane Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
