Planners will then consider a recommendation on the site plan for a 220,000-square-foot assisted-living facility on an 8.55-acre parcel along Kings Highway near Cape Henlopen High School and the Henlopen Gardens community. The land was rezoned to community facilities healthcare last year. The final item will be presentation of the Fishers Cove major subdivision proposed off Rodney Avenue.

The applicant, Burke & Rutecki LLC, is seeking to build 18 residential lots on 12.06 acres. The plan includes a pedestrian connection through an existing historic property to a parcel along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, which will be a common area for the community’s residents.
