True Blue Jazz gets council support

Sussex County Council awarded the following councilmanic grants during its June 18 meeting:  $10,000 to True Blue Jazz Inc. for the True Blue Jazz Festival in Rehoboth and Lewes Oct. 16-20; $1,700 to Milton Police Department for National Night Out; $1,000 to AIDS Delaware for the annual AIDS Walk Delaware; and $1,000 to Village Improvement Association in Rehoboth Beach for its 1909-2024 VIA history book.

Lewes art panel will not meet in June

The Lewes Public Art Committee has canceled its meeting set for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday June 26, at the Rollins Center. Information on the next meeting will be posted at lewes.civicweb.net.

Lewes to hold workshop June 27

Lewes Mayor and City Council will hold a workshop and special meeting at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 27, at city hall.

The agenda includes continued discussion of Lewes Fire Department funding.
