Nina Louise Wilson, devoted church member
Nina Louise Wilson, 87, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 15, 1937, in Chester, Pa., to the late Charles and Raphaela (Yacona) Borgese.
Nina was a devoted member of St. Edmond Catholic Church and an active member of the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach. Nina and her husband, David, lived in The Glade, Rehoboth Beach, for over 20 years before moving to The Lodge at Historic Lewes.
Nina is survived by her loving husband, David N. Wilson of Lewes; daughter, Denise Bernardo of Lewes; son, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Wilson of Lewes; grandchildren, Holly (Brandon) Smith of Rehoboth Beach, Krista (Rick) Iovan of Illinois, Allyson (James) Priano of Maitland, Fla., Michael Bernardo of Illinois, and Blaire Wilson of Pasadena, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Meryl and Sunny Smith of Rehoboth Beach, Jacqueline Priano of Maitland, and Lydia Iovan of Illinois; and former son-in-law, Dominic Bernardo of Illinois. Her family will always remember her as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Nina’s memory be made to St. Edmond Catholic Church.
