Children’s Beach House is proud to announce that Ocean Atlantic Companies is once again the Naming Sponsor of its Annual Charity Golf Event to be held Thursday, May 23, at the Peninsula on the Indian River Bay’s private Jack Nicklaus Signature Course.
“We are thrilled to be the Naming Sponsor of Children’s Beach House’s annual Charity Golf Event once again this year. My family and entire company have been supporting Children’s Beach House and the children and families they serve for over 80 years, starting in 1938 when my great-grandfather was a member of CBH’s Board of Trustees. We have seen first hand how CBH transforms the lives of so many children in need,” stated Preston Schell, chairman and CEO of Ocean Atlantic.
Proceeds from the event support CBH’s mission to help children with communicative disabilities and other special needs to be successful in life. Many are able to move beyond their limitations to reach their highest potential while becoming contributing members of their families and communities.
The CBH Youth Development Program provides year-round case management and mentoring, weekend enrichment programs and summer camp experiences. The program engages children in safe activities that promote social and emotional development; builds confidence and resiliency; and forges supportive relationships with peers and competent, caring non-parental adults.
The CBH Charity Golf Event is an opportunity for golfers to play the exclusive private course at The Peninsula, while also supporting Delaware’s at-risk children. The event starts at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23; cost is $225 per golfer and includes time on the driving range, golf carts, lunch, golfer contests and prizes, and a wonderful dinner buffet in the Peninsula’s new clubhouse. Non-golfers can attend the dinner buffet for $75 per person.
Sponsorships are still available but golfer slots are going fast. For more information on participating in the event or on sponsorship opportunities, go to www.cbhinc.org or call 302-645-9184.
