Parker Selby files for re-election to District 20 House seat

March 11, 2024

Esthelda “Stell” Parker Selby is a community leader in Sussex County who declared her candidacy and won the 2022 election for the Delaware House of  Representatives District 20 seat. Since then, she has championed healthcare, education and other issues important to Delaware residents. She officially filed for re-election March 1 at the Delaware Department of Elections office in Georgetown, choosing this date to honor Women’s History Month. She is a woman who has contributed much history to her district and the State of Delaware throughout many years.

Parker Selby said, “I am re-running for my District 20 representative seat because there is no way you can effectively accomplish much in two years. The first year is an orientation of learning, and the second year, you can begin to resolve matters of concern brought to your attention. As the first African American in Delaware history to ever serve from Sussex County, I am proud that everyone I represent understands that I have a proven record of service in my community, and I will continue to serve all citizens.”
