Pat Stefanini, talented artist, volunteer

Pat Stefanini, 76, of Millsboro, formerly of Moorestown, N.J., passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.
Pat was born in Philadelphia, Pa., April 3, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Gushue) Schneider. She graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pa., and attended the Moore College of Art also in Philadelphia.
Pat was a talented artist and co-partnered an art gallery at the Burlington County Memorial Hospital in New Jersey for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and volunteered countless hours working with young women in the art of papermaking and also at the Children's Cancer Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. She and her husband, Phil traveled to Egypt 11 times over a seven-and-a-half year period to volunteer their time to help make a difference in many Egyptians’ lives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Schneider. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Philip M. Stefanini; three children, Mary Pat Hood and her husband Arthur of Ashboro, N.C., Philip B. Stefanini and his wife Kim of Millsboro, and Beth Ann Clark and her husband Chuck of Roanoke, Va. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Helen and Julia Hood, Philip M. Stefanini, Charlie, Jenny and Annie Clark; and two sisters, Alice Meitz of Medford, N.J., and Marie Schwartz of Yardley, Pa.
A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 26, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may visit after 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Pat's name to Special Olympics of Delaware, 619 South College Ave., Newark, DE 19716.
