Patricia Ann “Precious” Ungemah, served the Lord

Patricia Ann “Precious” Ungemah (Kozik) died unexpectedly at Christiana Hospital Newark, Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the age of 72.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 52 years, George; her children Kimberlee of Lincroft N.J., and Scott of Tinton Falls, N.J.; as well as her siblings, Kenneth Kozik of Newark, N.J.  and David Kozik of Palm Coast Fla. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Rose Kozik of Irvington N.J.; as well as her sister Berneda Weinberg of Ormond Beach Fla.

Patricia was born Jan. 7, 1944, in Newark, N.J., to Jacob and Rose Kozik. She completed her education through high school in Newark in 1962. She married George Joseph Ungemah Aug. 22, 1964. The two met in high school and married soon after. Patricia held multiple positions early in life such as a mortgage broker, bookkeeper and bank teller. She was a homemaker during her children’s adolescent years. During those years she taught them a love for Jesus while instilling Godly principles. Patricia instilled a strong value in education for her children. Her three primary passions in life were:

  • To serve her Lord Jesus Christ through various ministries - Bible study fellowship leader, Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school coordinator, to name a few;
  • Cooking for her extended family and friends;
  • Shopping for her five grandchildren

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 11 a.m., at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3072 Savannah East Drive, Lewes, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend this celebration in honor of Patricia.

The family will gather in New Jersey for a private time of reflection.
