Patricia Ann Zonko, retired hair dresser

Patricia Ann Zonko, 75, of Millsboro passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes after a long battle with health issues. 

She was born in Greensboro, Md., Nov. 7, 1945, to the late Edward Mulholland and M. Elsie Hastings.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Michael G. Zonko in 2016; and a son, Michael Johnson.

Pat was a self-employed hair dresser and also worked at Givens Florist in Georgetown.  She enjoyed crafting, painting, travelling, dancing, gardening, cooking and joking around.   In her younger years she was known to be very energetic and was the life of the party.   

She is survived by two children, Matt Johnson (Melody) of Millsboro and Pam Conaway (Lorenzo West) of Angola.  She also leaves behind her beloved canine friend Abby.  She has three sisters surviving, Brenda Kleber (Richard), Barbara Marsh and Kathy Thompson (Greg); as well as three brothers, Donald Mulholland (Doris), Richard Mulholland (Eileen) and Kenneth Mullholland (Sharon).  Pat leaves behind five grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Cody Kidwell, Lauren Rossi, Christopher Rossi and Nicholas Rossi; along with six great grandchildren, Mark Everitt Jr., Lily Everitt, Jayce Brown, Jayden Johnson, Jaymes Johnson and Emma Kidwell. Pat is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

A walk-through visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro.  A chapel service and inurnment will follow at 2 p.m., at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.  Pastor Donald Mulholland will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Pat’s memory to Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE  19947.
