Peninsula Property Management asphalt services include cleaning and striping

September 15, 2010

Peninsula Property Management, a Rehoboth Beach firm in business for 10 years, recently expanded its services by investing in asphalt maintenance equipment and personnel.

Peninsula owner Fletcher Kenton said he had often subcontracted asphalt professionals for a variety of commercial jobs he was doing. “I looked around, realized there are a lot more parking lots around that need maintenance and periodic restriping, and decided it made sense to add that dimension to our business – bring more of it in house. Our goal is to grow slowly and add services as needs arise.”

To handle the asphalt work, Kenton hired Rex Edmonds as superintendent to oversee projects. Edmonds is a veteran in the asphalt business in Sussex County and brings that specialized experience to the table.

To handle the work, Kenton recently invested in a 750-gallon asphalt tank and associated equipment to handle commercial and residential striping, repaving, patchwork and seal coating. He also added parking lot cleaning and striping equipment to be able to complete whole projects from start to finish. Sign installations are another aspect of the parking lot and development support business.

“We’ve done a couple of Ruby Tuesday lots and feel good about the finished product,” he said.

In addition to the asphalt work, Peninsula Property Maintenance handles landscaping services such as lawn mowing, landscaping and irrigation repairs, power washing, tree and limb removal, and environmental services such as stormwater pond maintenance and permit compliance.
