Last week for Syracuse, professional lacrosse players Brian Megill and Matt Pratt, both 24 years old, ran a four-day developmental camp for boys ages 7 to 15 at Cape's Champions Stadium.
Performance Lacrosse is in its first year of existence, and Pratt, a former JUCO National Player of the Year at Onondaga Community College and midfielder at Syracuse, hopes the numbers will double or triple next summer.
Megill was an All-American defenseman at Syracuse then played for the Chesapeake Bayhawks and Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse. Pratt was a defensive middle for the Orangemen.
