Pink Affair accepting gently used donations Aug. 30-Sept. 2
Cancer Support Community Delaware announced the return of the Pink Affair luncheon set for 12 to 3 p.m., Friday Oct. 29, at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach.
Tickets for the luncheon and boutique shopping opportunity are $60. Raffles, silent auction and 50/50 chances also will be taking place at the Pink Affair.
New this year are boutique shopping slots for $10 each from 3:30 to 6 p.m., in half-hour increments.
Luncheon registration will open at 9 a.m., Monday, Sept. 20, at cancersupportdelaware.org.
Donations for very gently used fashion accessories will be accepted at the Cancer Support Community Delaware office from Monday, Aug. 30, to Thursday, Sept. 2. Especially needed are better-quality jewelry, coats and furs, dresses, jackets, purses, scarves, high-quality sweaters, tunics, vests and wallets.
Volunteers are also needed for the Oct. 29 event, with shifts from 8 a.m until 3:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. until cleanup, ending at 8 p.m.

This event is currently scheduled to occur as planned with adherence to local and state COVID mandates. Any changes due to protocols will be communicated via email and social media as well as the Cancer Support Community Delaware website.
The Cancer Support Community is part of a national nonprofit organization that provides support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of disease. All programs are free of charge.
