October 8, 2019

In honor of International Day of Peace Sept. 21, Worcester Preparatory School Lower School art teacher Rebecca Tittermary continued the annual tradition of having her students decorate more than 200 pinwheels to display around campus to commemorate the occasion.

Pinwheels for Peace is a global project to help students make a public visual statement about their feelings of war, peace, tolerance, cooperation, harmony and unity.

Founded in 1970, WPS is a private, independent pre-kindergarten through grade 12 school in Berlin, Md.  Approximately 500 students attend from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
